Choosing the right branding method makes a real difference to the finished look. The Branding Shed offers custom embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer vinyl, sublimation and digital printing, so we can match the right technique to your garment, your design and your budget.

If you do choose to supply your own garments, please note there will be a small garment handling fee of $2 per garment.

You can either pick up your completed order in person from our showroom or we will happily courier it to you.

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
For all branding options, vector files are preferred. Suitable file types are EPS / PDF / CDR or JPG for embroidery.
CUSTOM EMBROIDERY
Custom Embroidery is an excellent choice for branding bags, apparel, and textiles due to its durability and high-quality appearance, which remains intact even after constant washing. It adds a premium touch with a subtle raised effect, elevating the perceived value of your products or promotional items.
Each logo or design is unique, requiring individual assessment during the digitising process. This step converts artwork into stitch patterns, ensuring precise reproduction on fabric. Our aim is to offer accurate pricing that aligns with the specific details of your logo, ensuring you receive the best value for your embroidered items.

CONS
✗ We can only provide approximate PMS colour matches. Please refer to our thread colour chart for the closest match.
✗ For the best outcome, it’s advised to steer clear of intricate details and font sizes smaller than 6mm.
✗ Not suitable for lightweight fabrics due to the risk of puckering.
The Process
Simply email us your logo or design file (EPS, PDF, CDR, or JPG) to start digitising; setup fees apply. There are no extra charges for repeat orders unless design changes need re-digitising.
After finalising the design, we can provide a stitch-out for your approval before starting production. Standard production time is usually 10 working days from order approval, this timeframe will be extended for large batch orders.
DIGITAL PRINTING
A ground-breaking, cost-effective advancement in printed apparel. Created with a combination of digital and screen-printing techniques, making it a true hybrid transfer.
You can print unlimited colours and gradients using water-based inks without harsh or toxic chemicals. Digital printing can go beyond CMYK, giving the ability to print millions of colours and reproduce nearly any design with minimal limitations.
Rigorous lab testing, for durability, have been carried out and digital prints are certified to withstand 70 washes without any signs of cracking or fading.

HEAT TRANSFER VINYL
Heat transfer vinyl involves cutting a vinyl film into your desired image or text. It is digitally cut using specialised equipment after setting up your logo, image, or text artwork in the correct format. This method delivers a crisp logo quickly and affordably.
It’s the perfect solution for personalising garments with individual names, numbering sports uniforms, and creating single-colour designs. This method offers versatility and customisation options to meet your specific needs.
PROS
✔ Can be applied to most fabric types. Any fabric that can’t be ironed should be avoided.
✔ Cost effective and efficient.
✔ Opting for a simple design and basic lettering yields the best results.
✔ Great for small batch orders or one-off jobs.
CONS
✗ You will encounter limitations in the number of colours available.
✗ Bulk orders may face significant delays and require excessive labour, rendering this process inefficient in terms of cost-effectiveness.
✗ This printing method is susceptible to cracking and fading over time, particularly due to exposure to UV rays and washing.
CUSTOM SCREEN PRINTING
Custom Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh screen stencil to create designs, widely favoured for vibrant fabric prints. It excels in reproducing vivid colours, even on dark fabrics, with a layered texture. It’s efficiency lies in reusing stencils, making it practical for large batches of custom clothing like uniforms and workwear.

✔ Cost-effective for large-volume orders.
✔ Highly durable and resistant to wear, tear, and washing.
✔ It is possible to print multiple colours and achieve various effects, such as gradients and textures.
✔ Bold, vibrant colours are achievable.
CONS
✗ You will encounter limitations in the number of colours available.
✗ More colours equal higher costs and may ultimately result in less cost-effectiveness.
✗ Images may appear blurred, especially for detailed photographs or graphics with specific gradients or shades, due to colour limitations. Additionally, garment thickness can impact print quality.
SUBLIMATION
Sublimation printing uses heat to turn dye-sublimation ink into a gas, bonding it permanently with polyester fabrics for vibrant, long-lasting prints. This method differs from direct ink application used in traditional printing like screen printing. Ideal for polyester-based sportswear and activewear, it ensures durability for integrated designs.
Please plan ahead, as our standard turnaround time for sublimation orders is 6-8 weeks from artwork approval.
